A few posts back I spoke about the new Rudy Project’s that I had just received from Sport and Speed. I thought I would share with you some of the underlying technology used in the lenses of these cool frames.
Now I have the matt black frames with ImpactX photochromatic clear lenses. So what does that all mean? Well, ImpactX is a lense type that is 16% lighter than CR-39 and 10% lighter than Polycarbonate. According to Rudy Project, the lenses are stronger than any other lens material, guaranteed not to break or crack, even in complex rimless frame. So taking on the mighty Oakley beast with such a bold statement. Best of all, they have a lifetime guarantee against breakage or cracks, should they occur. Oakley used to have a lifetime guarantee on their frames but unfortunately they no longer offer this.
And as the lenses I have are photochromatic, according to Rudy Project, they provide unique climatic management technology, getting dark from low to high light transmission within few seconds. The pictures I have below show exactly what this means:
So if you want stand out from the Oakley crowd, make sure you get your hands on a pair of these!
