So I’ve been thinking of different items to place on my blog that would hopefully be of use to all those that visit this page. One thing that did come to mind was the twitter profiles of all the British professional cycling teams and riders. There isn’t a single source available where you could find this (well. not that I could find), so thought I’d give it a go.

Carlos Sastre and Andy Schleck

Oakley must be a proud bunch this week, following their success at the Tour de France over the past three weeks.

Why do you ask? Well, throughout the three weeks, 3,500km and 21 stages, Oakley produced six different leaders and 14 stage wins. Not forgetting that Oakley’s Carlos Sastre won the Tour. In addition to this, Cadel Evans (also an Oakley boy) was runner-up for the second consecutive year. And who could forget the four incredible stage wins from the fatest man on the Tour, our very own Mark Cavendish.

Oakley’s stats for this year’s Tour are:

OAKLEY STAGE WINS:
STAGE 1: Valverde SPAIN
STAGE 2: Thor Hushovd NORWAY
STAGE 3: Samuel Dumoulin FRANCE
STAGE 4: Stephan Schumacher GERMANY
STAGE 5: Mark Cavendish UK
STAGE 7: Luis Leon Sanchez SPAIN
STAGE 8: Mark Cavendish UK
STAGE 11: Kurt Asle Arvesen NORWAY
STAGE 12: Mark Cavendish UK
STAGE 13: Mark Cavendish UK
STAGE 15: Simon Gerrans AUSTRALIA
STAGE 16: Cyrill Dessel FRANCE
STAGE 17: Carlos Sastre SPAIN
STAGE 20: Stephan Schumacher GERMANY.
